big shots get hundreds of emails daily - they'll ignore you, not because you suck, but because they're drowning.
when i started, i thought following up was nagging but I was wrong. busy people need multiple touches to remember you exist. most sales happen after the 7th or 8th touchpoint when doing cold email outbound.
okay so hereâs the magic - always give them an easy out: "if this isn't a priority right now, no worries - still a huge fan of what you're building"
done right, you can send 7-10 emails over a few weeks without being pesty.

đ§ follow up with answers to their objections.
when youâre doing sales you always have a bunch of bonuses or discounts to offer to tackle your prospectâs objections.
but you never reveal them upfront, or in this case, in the first email.
so think about what objections they might have for your first email. and then follow up to help them overcome that.
in this case, samâs prospects would probably be thinking if his conference is legit and if other big shot CEOs are going to be speaking there. thatâs exactly what sam follows up with.

đ§ personalization - notice how even the first email is super personalized? âfollowed you since charlie roseâ and the âPSâ section. that gets passed the first filter in your brain that this email is sent by an actual human
đ§ no other way to say this but being different aka being you > being âbetterâ.
đ§ you canât follow up if you donât have first emails. i promise, you can be sending 5x the cold emails youâre sending rn.
